(Newser) – Who's the front-runner, again? Michele Bachmann raised $2.2 million in the first quarter of 2011, easily trumping Mitt Romney's $1.9 million, reports Fox News. Bachmann pulled in $500,000 through her political action committee (MichelePAC) and $1.7 million through her congressional re-election fund. The latter money could be transferred to a presidential campaign, and Bachmann has declared that "I'm in." (Or at least "in" enough to form an exploratory committee.) Most of her contributions came from small donations, notes Fox, cementing her reputation as a master fund-raiser.

Thanks, But they left out Ron Paul raised more money then both Mitt and Michelle. Ron Paul raked in roughly $3 million during the first quarter through his various political organizations, POLITICO has learned.

It is interesting that Congresswoman Bachmann has been able to surpass Sarah Palin as the "Tea Partys' Choice" without writing a book stating her political principles, as that is what most potential presidential candidates do as way to initiate their campaigns. Michele Bachmann has been calling for "Smaller Government" and "Less Spending" as the Republican Party has become an organization that is devoted to having the corporations avoiding the payment of taxes: http://flixya.com/blog/2878365/Republicans-Expanding-Control
