55K Pounds of Turkey Burgers Recalled

Jennie-O burgers may be contaminated with salmonella

(Newser) – Bad news: That package of Jennie-O turkey burgers you bought because you were trying to be healthy just might be contaminated with salmonella. Worse news: The strain of salmonella in question is "resistant to many commonly prescribed antibiotics," the pleasantly-named Food Poison Journal reports. Jennie-O Turkey Store is recalling nearly 55,000 pounds of the frozen burgers after three people fell ill, Slashfood reports.

According to the USDA, all packages of "All Natural Turkey Burgers with seasonings Lean White Meat" with a use-by date of December 23, 2011 have been recalled. And, finally, some good news—for non-Sam's Club members, at least—the product in question is sold exclusively at Sam's Club.

Another indication of how well self regulation will go with GOP cuts in organization that end with an "A". The GOP is so smart. Trust in Corporate America to make the best decisions for the public while practicing Capitalism. I see no conflicts of interest. If you do, I guess you're a radical Liberal, hellbent on destroying your homeland. Y'know, so there's nothing left, since, ultimately, that's all a Liberal wants.

You know the word Salmonella was always an interesting name to me. If you remove the "ella" it becomes Salmon which is healthy for you. Boy that Ella she is one trouble maker.
