Shaq Scores 17 in Heat Loss to Bobcats

Blazers topple Pistons, Sonics struggle again against Magic

(Newser) – The Heat's struggles continued last night with a 97-91 loss to the Bobcats. Shaq scored 17 points in 25 minutes, but was only one of two Heat players in double figures. "I should play," sputtered furious coach Pat Riley. "I guarantee you I should suit up. I would play better than some of them right now."

Elsewhere in the NBA:

  • The Trailblazers defeated the Pistons 102-94.  Richard Hamilton was just 5-20 from the field in the loss.
  • The Magic defeated Kevin Durant and the SuperSonics 103-76. Rashard Lewis scored 22 points against his old team.
