(Newser) – Last year’s top baby names included plenty of classics—but monikers from Teen Mom saw the biggest jumps in popularity. While Jacob and Isabella were the most popular names overall, Maci and Bentley, the name of a mother and son on MTV’s show, got the largest boost in the rankings. Twilight also appeared to play a role: Kellan—as in Kellan Lutz of the teen-vampire movies—came second in top-trending boys’ names, MSNBC reports.

Brangelina’s baby-name choices also showed some influence, with Knox the third top-trending boy’s name. “This will be the year people pay attention to the effect that reality TV has on baby names,” says an expert. “A pregnant teenager is America's top name-style maven." Parents, she said, are looking for “names that feel familiar, but we don't actually know anybody with that name.” Click through for the full top 10, and top-trending, baby names for 2010.

Maci and Bentley are two of the stupidest names I've ever heard in my life. Maci? Really? These moms are aware that their kids are going to grow up eventually, right? People are naming their kids after characters in a shitty book series with shitty characters and shitty plotlines. A personality-less girl drools over an ancient, abusive vampire. This is what people admire today.

What a bad baby photo with this story. Those eyes are over the top retouched. Way to big to be natural. They look like the way Disney draws their princesses. As if babies don't already have great eyes.
