Last year’s top baby names included plenty of classics—but monikers from Teen Mom saw the biggest jumps in popularity. While Jacob and Isabella were the most popular names overall, Maci and Bentley, the name of a mother and son on MTV’s show, got the largest boost in the rankings. Twilight also appeared to play a role: Kellan—as in Kellan Lutz of the teen-vampire movies—came second in top-trending boys’ names, MSNBC reports.
Brangelina’s baby-name choices also showed some influence, with Knox the third top-trending boy’s name. “This will be the year people pay attention to the effect that reality TV has on baby names,” says an expert. “A pregnant teenager is America's top name-style maven."
