(Newser) – Maria Shriver isn't going to turn the news of Arnold Schwarzenegger's love child with a staffer into a public battle. Her succinct statement today, from People: "This is a painful and heartbreaking time," she says. "As a mother, my concern is for the children. I ask for compassion, respect, and privacy as my children and I try to rebuild our lives and heal. I will have no further comment." The couple, who announced their split last week, have four children ranging in age from 14 to 21. (And the mother of Schwarzenegger's love child has been revealed.)

The discovery of infidelity is quite devastating. Why n230099 thinks that Maria deserved this pain is confusing. should all of us suffer retribution for the sins of our grandfathers and or uncles?  Empathy is a good human quality.

Maybe the love child is destined to bring down SkyNet.
