These Facebook Users Think Onion Stories Are Real 'Literally Unbelievable' blog delights in people who think the 'news' is legit By John Johnson, Newser Staff Posted May 27, 2011 12:34 PM CDT 28 comments Comments No, Planned Parenthood isn't building a multi-billion-dollar abortion complex. (http://literallyunbelievable.tumblr.com/) (Newser) – The Onion bills itself as "America's Finest News Source," and lots of Facebook users agree. But we're referring here to those who don't quite get the whole satire thing: The Literally Unbelievable blog is devoted to people who take Onion stories as gospel (Planned Parenthood is building an $8 billion "Abortionplex"!) and post them on Facebook, usually with outraged comments (sample "Abortionplex" response: "I am appalled!!!!! The last part of the article validates my thoughts."). Spin through for some laughs, but "it's a dark path to walk," warns the Awl. "Maybe you should read a book or pet a puppy instead?"
