NYC Pad With Living Room Pool: $11M

It's a 'bragging-rights property': owner

(Newser) – Want a pool in your living room—but can’t bear to leave the Big Apple? You’re in luck: Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood is home to a townhouse with a 15- by 30-foot pool inside. It was listed earlier this year for $11 million. “This is definitely a trophy, bragging-rights property,” says its owner. Of course, cleaning the house can be tough, particularly when you’re an antiques collector. “Sometimes I get in the boat” in the pool to clean the artifacts, she notes. Head to the Wall Street Journal for some truly only-in-New-York video.

With that much money,You could buy a good sized piece of land and house, plus put the pool in the ground. Oh,but then you couldn't make a feeble attempt to impress someone who probably doesn't really give a damn anyway.

What I don't understand is why you would spend 11 million on such a pad and then NOT install a sliding floor to cover the pool when not in use. That's just stupid.

Naaah.... not for me. Looks like some ghetto pad for peasants.  I only interested in property listed above 20 million, with pool and private 360 patio...plus servants
