The mysterious Pottermore.com was the single end to an online scavenger hunt spanning 10 Harry Potter fansites yesterday, but author JK Rowling isn’t quite ready to reveal exactly what Pottermore will be. The site says only "Coming soon" for now. With the last Harry Potter movie hitting theaters next month, fans of the wizarding series are in a tizzy over what new Potter material they can expect next. Rowling's PR agency will say only that it is not a new book, reports the Guardian.

Many fans predict Pottermore will be a Potter encyclopedia on behalf of charity. Others speculate it could be an acronym for Potter Multiplayer Online Role-playing Experience, which would mean a cross between World of Warcraft and Final Fantasy-type video games. Fansite HPANA claimed to have gotten a sneak preview of Pottermore and called it "breathtaking in scope, detail, and sheer beauty.” (More Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 stories.)
