(Newser) – One of New York's highest-profile gay couples celebrated last night's passage of the gay marriage bill in appropriate fashion: Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka got engaged. "I've already (proposed), he said yes! Thank god!" tweeted Burtka, before adding, "he proposed to me as well. I said yes! Thank god!," reports the Huffington Post. No date tweeted, but the How I Met Your Mother star and actor/chef Burtka can wed in about a month after Gov. Andrew Cuomo signed the legislation late last night. They already are the parents of twins.

Happy for Neil Patrick....embarrassed that the education in the US is so lacking that some folks on this board can't comprehend the truth that is right in front of is a part of nature....BUT, I need to remember...there is no point is arguing with "ENTRENCHED IGNORANCE", there is nothing to learn and nothing to teach.

On My superficial side...they do make a cute couple. And they look pretty spiffy in that photo.
