College basketball's no. 11-ranked Marquette will play in the EA Maui Invitational finals, after smothering Oklahoma State, 91-61. The Golden Eagles defense keyed a 13-2 opening run, after which their lead was never threatened; the team employed three and four guards at times to cut off passing lines and contest shots. In other college hoops blowouts:

  • No. 7 Tennessee trampled Middle Tennessee, 109-40, with JaJuan Smith's first 32-point game.
  • No. 8 Indiana toppled UNC Wilmington after stumbling into a ten-point deficit.
  • Tyler Hansbrough's 26 and 8 keyed a 110-64 win for no. 1 UNC over South Carolina State.
