It was either Hollywood, or run for Senate.

OK, she may be a great young actress, but Kennedy childen don't get "breaks" in Hollywood.  They meet writers, producers, and directors (or in the case of Aaron Sorkin - all three)  at the right social events and momentum takes its course.  A big Hollywood break happens when an aspiring your actor is discovered after getting their ass kicked since arriving in LA on that bus from nowhereville years prior.
