Bachmann Offers Doctor's Note to Downplay Migraines

He says they occur 'infrequently,' are under control

(Newser) – Michele Bachmann is trying to put the migraine issue to rest quickly: She released a letter from her doctor today in which he says her migraines "occur infrequently" and that she's got them under control with two common prescription drugs that she takes as needed, reports the Huffington Post. The migraines "have known trigger factors of which you are aware and know how to avoid," he writes. Bachmann herself made a similar statement yesterday after the Daily Caller alleged that she is frequently debilitated by the headaches.

Today, Politico (among others) kept the story in play with more specifics and quotes from former staffers, concluding that the headaches have a "pervasive impact on her congressional office." The story matters, writes Chris Cillizza at the Washington Post: It's "the first major bump" in her campaign, and the big question is whether the "migraine stories are the tip of the iceberg when it comes to former staffers venting or represent the full extent of the critique of Bachmann that will be offered by former employees." She's batshit crazy and 'migraine headaches' are the   "the first major bump" in her campaign??  Really Newser?  Being insane isn't a bump any more?  Being stupid isn't a major bump any more? Wow. We are damn sure going to hell in a hand basket when insanity isn't even a blip on the radar. Being anti-choice, insisting that gay people must continue to pay equal taxes for less than equal rights... none of those things count as a bump?  I got news for you, homophobes being voted into the office of President of the United States is already OVER.  It's not that the lgtb community is so big. It's that the group of family, friends, neighbors and coworkers of gays is.  We are NEVER letting another homophobe in that office. But I sure enjoy watching her waste her time, get raked over the coals till she's ragged, blow her money, and FAIL.  And Santorum.... hahahahahaha  the school bullies are getting just what they deserve.
