(Newser) – Norway is ramping up security in the wake of the twin terror attacks in and near Oslo. The group Ansar al-Jihad al-Alami, or Helpers of the Global Jihad, has claimed responsibility, but it remains unclear whether the group was actually behind the strikes, reports the New York Times. In a statement, the group blamed Norway's presence in Afghanistan and cited insults to Mohammed. "There is more to come," it warned.

How horrible that this evil madness created such suffering. Please pray for the victims and their families and for the people of Norway who must be in a terrible state of shock.
