Dow Down 100 at Open

S&P 500, Nasdaq follow suit

(Newser) – No major relief for the markets today, at least not so far: The Dow was down about 100 points at open, resting below 10,900, according to MarketWatch. The S&P 500 and Nasdaq were also down, 7 points and 5 points, respectively. And the news from abroad isn't any cheerier...

Okay, I think I've got this figured out. Everyone freaks out and sells when forecasters predict a market crash. Then the forecasters go in and buy all they want at a much lower price than they would have had to the day before. Once the market stabilizes again they just rinse and repeat.
