(Newser) – Worried about how Hurricane Irene will affect you? Google to the rescue. The Google Crisis Response team has produced a map that tracks Irene's path and provides other valuable info. Search for your address at crisislanding.appspot.com and see how close your home is to the thick of things. Other information you can access with the click of a button: hurricane evacuation routes, the Red Cross's shelter system, NYC's evacuation zones, and storm surge probabilities, reports the AFP.

Was just reading that Ron Paul thinks we should get rid of FEMA, and go back to 1900, when there was no disaster relief from the Govt.  I guess any idea, taken to extremes, starts to stink.
