Gwyneth Is OK With Cheating

Because, she explains, 'life is complicated'

(Newser) – It’s always fun when Gwyneth Paltrow gives an interview: This time around she explains why cheating on your spouse isn’t so bad. “I am a great romantic—but I also think you can be a romantic and a realist,” she tells the Telegraph. “Life is complicated and long and I know people that I respect and admire and look up to who have had extramarital affairs.”

“It's like we're flawed—we’re human beings and sometimes you make choices that other people are going to judge,” continues Paltrow, who has been married to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin for almost eight years. “That's their problem, but I really think that the more I live my life, the more I learn not to judge people for what they do. I think we're all trying our best, but life is complicated.” Even though she was quick to note that she herself has “a very nice husband,” we have to mention that just last month Paltrow was admitting that marriage isn’t all rosy.

1. We rag on Evann Gastaldo, but this story is apparently the second most popular By Views 2. Gwyneth Paltrow is totally cheating or giving her husband license to cheat :P 3.  There are other social arrangements that have existed and could exist other than "marriage for life," and those arrangements look better and better given that a) we live a lot longer nowadays, and b) HALF of all marriages end in divorce.  Are you kidding me?!  Who likes those odds?  Isn't that a sign that we're doing something wrong?  Isn't it insanity to keep trying to make a failed institution work when it clearly isn't working? How about this: you get married for 10 years, and at the end of 10 years, you have the chance to "re-up," if both people agree, and if not, auto-separation.  Why the fuck would people put all of their evolutionary eggs (so to speak) in one basket?  It makes no fucking sense not to diversify your genetic eggs; we're fighting our genes basically in trying to prop up an institution that is clearly not for everyone -> thus the failed marriages and unhappy people. I have no idea why I'm single.

ANYONE who, "Is OK With Cheating" is either 1) a spineless coward, who is afraid of lossing whatever has been invested in the (ha!) relationship, by leaving the offending slime, 2) NOT committed in their hearts to the person they are with, so they could care less if said slime uses them as toilet paper [*cough* Hillary Clinton *cough*] and/or 3) ... a cheater themselves! Love & sex are like, "Church & State". Sex is a primal drive, making adult film stars capable of having their privates pounded for years. They may, "love" sex, but not the individual they're having sex with. Whereas love is a power that transcends all others. No one dies for sex (may die during or from...), but multitudes have perished in the name of love! Saving family, friends, even strangers! If an individual is proud of having extramarital affairs, if they're cowardly enough to sneak behind a (ha!) loved-ones back, they offer proof that they would stab a friend or stranger in the back to satisfy their immediate, base wants. These are the evil beings that eventually get caught with bodies in their crawl-spaces. You who offend, prove me wrong! Approach your mate & tell them that you've been unfaithful for days, weeks, months, years! See how that works out for you... "It's not rocket science, people!" You want some strange on the side... tough! Man-up & leave your situation & you can fornicate 'til your hearts (& groins) content! But you won't do that, will you? No, can't risk losing the poor, stupid meal-ticket suffering your existience! Have to have your-cake-and-eat-it-too! It IS the business of rational-thinking beings to judge, when others in our society find that abberant behavior should be accepted. Freedom is wonderful, but is should NOT be abused or altered & molested, to suit the whims of a faction of deviants! "To each their own" is fine but does not also. "Birds of a feather flock together". Meaning I don't want to be around a cheater. Your choice of life-style means that I can't trust you, if your own clueless partner can't! We don't want you piloting the planes we fly in. We don't want you driving the school buses our children ride in. We don't want you handling the pharmaceuticals we ingest. We definitely do not want you as leaders of our country, etc., etc., etc.! YOU CANNOT BE TRUSTED! Nothing personal, it's a, "trust" thing.   Moral of the story: If you're TRULY committed to another, be a better human & keep it in your pants.
