I saw lots of bullying in school when I grew up because NOBODY cared in the 60's---heck, the teachers often instigated it.  But no one was bullied as badly as the boys who were considered weak or "effeminate".  They were terrorized with a vehemence that was shocking, violent, and downright scary. What is it about men, that makes them want to rip into another man for having qualities normally ascribed to women?  They will attack in a pack, egging each other on and getting more beastly by the moment.   As a woman, I saw nothing that terrible about these sensitive men, but was appalled by the rabid macho horde they seemed to attract. Something is lacking in a lot of  men.  It is a deep and disturbing flaw that allows for and encourages violent excess against the receptive principle.  And it needs to change.

if by "it gets better" we surmise that the eventual getting better involves death, there is something jacked up with us. Poor kiddo. So much pain and anguish that he felt his only way to make it better was to commit suicide. Not sure what to say other than this makes me really sad.
