Marketing in the modern age: It seems tablet users make the best online shoppers, reports the Wall Street Journal. Industry stats put the coveted "conversion rate" at 4% or 5% for tablet users vs. 3% for PC users. What's more, perhaps because tablet users tend to be wealthier, people who buy things with them tend to place bigger orders than those using a PC or smartphone.

One theory is that tablet users get sucked in by eye-popping visuals on their touch screens. Whatever the reason, expect to see websites changing to accommodate them. "Every website in the world was built for a mouse," a Macy's exec tells the Journal. "We underline things to click. We are thinking about what that should look like in a touch environment."
