Iran has ordered the Canadian ambassador out of the country, reports the Globe and Mail.  The expulsion is thought to be due to Iran's unhappiness at Canada's rejection of several proposed Iranian ambassadors with suspected violent student radical pasts. "It is one-sided love," said an Iranian diplomat. "Love should be mutual."

The Canadian foreign minister called Iran's action "completely unjustified."  Diplomatic operations will remain normal and the charge d'affaires will assume command, he said. Relations between Iran and Canada have been frosty ever since the US hostage crisis and the suspicious death of a Canadian/Iranian reporter in an Iranian jail four years ago increased tensions.
