(Newser) – Another Iraq war veteran has been injured in clashes between police and protesters in Oakland, reports the Guardian. One week after Scott Olsen suffered a fractured skull, Kayvan Sabeghi was hospitalized with a lacerated spleen, which he says was caused by being hit with police batons Wednesday night. "There was a group of police in front of me. They told me to move, but I was like: 'Move to where?' There was nowhere to move," said Sabeghi, a former Army Ranger who served in both Afghanistan and Iraq.

Sabeghi, 32, said he was locked in a police van for three hours, then moved to jail, and was not taken to a hospital for 18 hours. "I was on my hands and knees and crawled over the cell door to call for help," he said. "I was vomiting and had diarrhea. I just lay there in pain for hours." Police said they were investigating his arrest but did not provide details, notes AP. Wednesday was the night protesters did serious damage in Oakland.

This is good news. Still nothing compared to what all the innocent people overseas experienced. People like "Barack_Must_Go," "Non-deep-thinker," and "Rammrodd" have it all correct. It amuses me at the list of replies written by idiots comming from those three peoples comments. Absolutly pathetic. If theres one thing you should know by now is to not believe the crap comming out of these protesters mouths. You wont be kissing their asses when all your rights are revoked because of these idiots. Protesting never has and never will work, they have this thing called the Congress, perhaps you've heard of it?

It is debatable that attacking a group of unemployed angry people that has members trained to kill their enemies in inventive ways is a good tactic. Thankfully for the cops most soldiers are professional enough to restrain themselves, perhaps if they keep arresting and assaulting them they'll acquire that trait via osmosis. That being said this is fairly common with police; My younger brother had a similar incident occur to him. We were leaving The House of Blues when a pair of idiots got into a fist fight on the walk, police showed up and told everyone to leave. My brother asked where we should go since we were waiting on a cab, cop then proceeded to bash him on the side of the head, cuff him and charged him with obstructing an officer and disturbing the peace. So now he has a record and a scar for asking an officer for advice, serve and protect indeed.

The amount of lawsuits against the police that will come out of this movement will be enough to finance a major political movement.  Public financing for the win!
