The latest Occupy-related images to generate buzz come from UC Davis. As police moved in to dismantle the students' camp yesterday, one officer methodically doused a group of sitting protesters with pepper spray, reports CBS Sacramento. Police then arrested 10 protesters, notes the Sacramento Bee. Critics are calling it an excessive use of force, but the local police chief says it was warranted given the large number of students surrounding officers.

“If you look at the video you are going to see that there were 200 people in that quad,” he says. “Hindsight is 20-20 and based on the situation we were sitting in, ultimately that was the decision that was made.” For two notable images of protesters elsewhere getting doused, click here and here.
