Urban Meyer is returning to coaching, taking over an Ohio State football team that likely faces NCAA sanctions, sources tell ESPN. Meyer has spent the past year as an ESPN analyst, taking a year off coaching for health reasons after winning two national championships with the Florida Gators. He asked the network to give him time off this weekend, as rumors started swirling about his new gig.

Meyer will meet his future players at a team meeting this afternoon, before being formally introduced at a press conference. He’ll have his work cut out for him: The Buckeyes went 6-6 this year—their worst record since 1999—and likely still face further NCAA sanctions over the cash-for-memorabilia scandal.
