(Newser) – Colt peacemaker on Earth, good ammo to men. That's apparently the holiday wish for all at Arizona's Scottsdale Gun Club, which is giving members and their kids a chance to pose with a "nervous-looking Santa" and the weapon of their choice, reports the Telegraph. "Get your holiday picture with Santa and his machine guns!" gushes the club's website ... because nothing says Christmas quite like an AK-47. The photo backdrop includes a Garwood Minigun, which can fire 6,000 rounds a minute. Fill up that toy bag, Santa . N ow.

70% of Guns Seized in Mexico Come From US

Numbers are actually down from 2009

(NEWSER) - A whopping 70% of guns seized in Mexico in 2009 and 2010 came from the United States, according to figures from the ATF. Of the 29,284 firearms recovered by authorities during that time, 15,131 were made in the US and another 5,373 were foreign guns that moved through the US to Mexico. The ATF, which submitted the guns to a US gun-tracing program, doesn’t know where the other 8,780 arms came from. More»
