(Newser) – This time, it's true: Howard Stern is coming to primetime TV as a judge on NBC's America's Got Talent. He confirmed the rumors on his Sirius/XM show today, reports USA Today. Cue immediate outrage from the Parents Television Council, which tells TMZ that "a performer who is synonymous with shock, profanity, and obscenity" has no place on TV. Maybe, but Stern is a savvy broadcaster and can be a "charmer," notes the Los Angeles Times' Morning Fix blog, so this might work out fine.

Howard is probably a good choice to emulate Simon Cowell's persona- they're both abrasive and intellectual At least they TRY to stick to the truth, tell it like it is. Stern is adaptable and will go with his audience- smart

Howard will bring huge ratings!!  He always has!  People calling him "no-talent douche", a "looser", and a "creep" have obviously not given him a fair chance or tried to listen to his show with and open mind.  He and his wife are both amazing people outside of the "Lime Light" and are huge advocates for abandon/abused/homeless animals!
