Recipe calls for cognac, champagne, and a diamond ring

Start with some expensive cognac and champagne, add brown sugar and bitters—don't forget the 11-carat white diamond ring for the bottom of the glass—and voila, you've got the world's most expensive drink. London's exclusive Movida nightclub launched the drink, called the Flawless, today, and a 28-year-old property developer who ordered it for his girlfriend was the first customer. The price: $70,000.
It comes with a bit of theater, too: two security guards hover over your table while the drink is mixed and downed, the Guardian reports. "They'll have the attention of everyone else in the bar," said a club manager. One social critic is not amused. "It will be one of those things that unite both the middle class and the old rich in a belief that the super-rich come out of some kind of primeval ooze."
