(Newser) – The 9-year-old girl who vanished from an Indiana trailer park last week has been found dead, and the family friend who was watching her and her two sisters has been charged with her murder. County police and FBI agents learned the location of Aliahna Lemmon's body after interviewing 39-year-old Mike Plumadore, the Fort Wayne News-Sentinel reports.

Plumadore, who was looking after the girls because their mother was sick and their stepfather works nights, had initially claimed that Aliahna vanished while he was asleep. The trailer park is a known haven for sex offenders, although Plumadore is not on the state's registered sex offenders list, AP notes. He does, however, have a criminal record in Florida and North Carolina that includes convictions for trespassing and assault. (Update: Click for the latest chilling details.)

Isn't there another picture of her where she isn't standing next to, what appears to be, the corner of a flag draped coffin? Also, stop calling this monster a family "friend."

Reading the comments from the previous story on this, it doesn't look like the crime solvers on Newser had this one right.

15 registered sex offenders in the trailer park and the girl done in by a non-'sex offender' family friend, as is the norm.
