The 9-year-old girl who vanished from an Indiana trailer park last week has been found dead, and the family friend who was watching her and her two sisters has been charged with her murder. County police and FBI agents learned the location of Aliahna Lemmon's body after interviewing 39-year-old Mike Plumadore, the Fort Wayne News-Sentinel reports.

Plumadore, who was looking after the girls because their mother was sick and their stepfather works nights, had initially claimed that Aliahna vanished while he was asleep. The trailer park is a known haven for sex offenders, although Plumadore is not on the state's registered sex offenders list, AP notes. He does, however, have a criminal record in Florida and North Carolina that includes convictions for trespassing and assault. (Update: Click for the latest chilling details.)
