Man allegedly cut women with razor or box cutter

(Newser) – Police in Peru have arrested a man suspected of cutting women's buttocks in Virginia shopping malls. Johnny D. Guillen Pimentel, 40, is in custody as northern Virginia police work with federal and international authorities to return him back to the US, the Washington Post reports. Police issued a warrant in September charging Pimentel with one of nine assaults on young women using a box cutter or razor. He reportedly fled to Peru last month, sparking local news stories about the “cortela nalgas,” or “buttock slasher.”

(NEWSER) - Michael Richards, infamous for his N-word-laden 2006 rant (which he later parodied ), may have had another meltdown. The Seinfeld star is being sued by a photographer for allegedly beating him up in Los Angeles on Aug. 25, TMZ reports. According to the suit, Richards approached the snapper in a “menacing manner … with closed fists” before allegedly punching him in the face, pushing him to the ground, and kicking him “numerous times.” More»

(NEWSER) - A woman jumped off a cliff to escape a man who was attempting to sexually assault her at a California state park, the LA County sheriff's department says. The woman, who had been jogging in Malibu, suffered cuts and bruises after falling about 100 feet and landing on the beach. (NEWSER) - Two California middle school girls have been arrested after beating up a young teen—twice—and posting the attacks on YouTube. They lured the girl to an athletic field, where the attack was filmed with a cell phone while a crowd of young onlookers watched. The girls were tracked down through the YouTube video and have been charged with felony assault. The video was removed from the site at the request of police. More»
