Another man wounded in stabbing

(Newser) – Two adults and two children were found dead of gunshot wounds in a California apartment yesterday, while another man was found with stab wounds outside its door, police say. Though the details remain hazy, police believe the mother of the kids shot herself when police arrived, the Fresno Bee reports. After receiving a domestic disturbance call, police approached the apartment to find the stabbed man, believed to be the mother's husband and father of the children, outside.

After hearing a gunshot, they entered the apartment to find a woman in her 20s, who appeared to have shot herself. Police also found the two children, 18 months and 3 years old, as well as a man in his 30s whose connection to the family hasn't been revealed. The stabbing victim was reported in critical condition at a nearby hospital. Neighbors called the victims a "normal" family. "I never saw them fighting. They would come out with the baby carriage, and the man was taking care of his children," one told the AP.

(NEWSER) - A gravely wounded 3-year-old boy hid in a garbage can for 12 hours after his father fatally shot his mom, then killed himself, according to law enforcement authorities. Police followed a trail of blood to the trash can where they found the boy bleeding from 3 gunshot wounds to his shoulder, stomach and chest. His parents lay dead on lawn chairs outside the Anaheim home, and his uninjured 5-year-old brother was hiding elsewhere in the house. Cops called to domestic disturbance discover bodies

(NEWSER) - Police called to a domestic disturbance found multiple murder victims in a home in a gated community in southern California. The victims included members of at least one family, though others may have been in the San Clemente home at the time of the shootings, AP reports. One body bag held a tiny corpse. Bodies found at campground, handgun nearby

(NEWSER) - A mother and her three young daughters were found shot to death near a Missouri campground in what police believe was a triple murder-suicide. Each was killed by a single gunshot, and the weapon was found near the bodies, according to police. The four were not staying at the Bourbon campground, but the mother's vehicle was found nearby. They were identified as 37-year-old Christine Adewunmi, and daughters Lauren, 8, Samantha, 6, and Kate, 3.
