Her 6-word memoir would read ... 'Might as Well Eat That Cookie'

(Newser) – Paula Deen, that bastion of moderation and recent convert to the church of Novo Nordisk after her not-so-recent diagnosis of type 2 diabetes, has a memoir out. Well, an Oprah-version of a memoir. Winfrey's magazine asks various celebs and non-celebs to succinctly sum up their lives in a "six-word memoir" in its February issue. Deen participated, and now's your chance to guess how her version reads. A Little Salad Wouldn't Kill You? Or maybe Sorry, America, for Glorifying Fatty Food? No. Deen's six-word take on life is: Might as Well Eat That Cookie.

Nemesis Anthony Bourdain still isn't impressed with Deen's antics, notes TMZ, tweeting, "Thinking of getting into the leg-breaking business, so I can profitably sell crutches later." Click for more on Deen.

Paula Deen has diabetes because she had too many refined carbs, not because she cooked with too much oil. She might be a controversial celebrity chef, but Deen is first and foremost a celebrity chef. It is up to people's discretion on which recipes they want to use.  It's not like she's passing this crap off as healthy.  Besides, people who are eating this way are already making excuses. If obesity rates are really levelling off, the next step is education. Then the Twinkee can Rest In Peace for all I care.

Thanks to her promotion of deep fried Southern recipes, so many are walking around with cholesterol clogged arteries and potential life-threatening conditions in the future.  She is capitalzing on her medical condition and laughing all the way to the bank!

I can't believe how stupid everyone is acting over this!  According to most doctors nowdays everyone over 40 has type 2 diabetes regardless of their lifestyle or body shape.  Also, since when is a celebrity obligated to inform the public of their health concerns?  I wouldn't say she "hid" anything - it is nobody's business but her and her family!
