(Newser) – You may have heard the happy news: Prince William and Kate Middleton are the proud parents of a 3-month-old cocker spaniel. However, if you were hoping to find out what they're calling the puppy, prepare to be disappointed. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have strictly instructed aides not to reveal his name, the Daily Mail reports. Says a spokesperson, "He is a private pet and they do not want his name to be made public although the couple are happy to confirm that they do, indeed, have a new dog."  Just why should anyone care, and why is this supposed to be important enough to even be reported?

Well, he wanted her to have company while he was away for 6 weeks. Mose military families have their loved ones gone MUCH longer than this. I guess the puppy takes the place of a baby for now. This was NOT news because most Americans care less about the priviledged royals.
