(Newser) – How do you spell G-U-N? That's the lesson a 5-year-old girl brought home, complete with a picture of a pistol-packin' bank robber escaping with a bag of cash. "The first thing I thought was, ‘Oh no no no,’ I don't want you reading it, I don't want you spelling it. I don't even want you looking at the picture," Queens father Lawrence Gillman told NY 1. The teacher dropped the lesson after parent complaints, apologized, and said the illustration was a hold over from another other school where she apparently did a bang-up job.

For crying out loud! PARENTS! Get these words through your thick ass heads: THE "OUT OF SIGHT, OUT OF MIND" APPROACH DOES NOT WORK!

Typical parent over reaction, kids have seen robbers in cartoons, I remember seeing Fred Flintstone dressed like a bandit to scare Wilma, this parent could have just explained to the child about robbers and how wrong could be, Dad missed the opportunity to teach a lesson to this kid.

Seriously? This was a problem? I realize this was a kindergarten class, but hasn't anyone seen prime-time TV lately? Or the evening news?
