(Newser) – The rising economy may be enough to carry President Obama to a second term, according to the latest New York Times/CBS poll. The percentage of people feeling optimistic about the economy has surged over the last few months, the poll found, and Obama's approval rating is back above 50%, the highest since May 2010 apart from a brief bump after the killing of Osama bin Laden last year. Obama now leads all four of his potential Republican opponents, the poll found.

Obama was tied with Mitt Romney last month, but now leads 48% to 42%, thanks to a big shift among independent voters, according to the survey. He leads Rick Santorum 49% to 41%, Ron Paul 50% to 39%, and has a whopping 18-point lead over Newt Gingrich, 54% to 36%. GOP front-runner Santorum has a narrow lead over Romney among GOP primary voters. Some 55% consider Romney the most electable candidate, but only 23% consider the former Massachusetts governor the candidate who best represents their values.

They need to be sure illegal electronic votes are not made from people who are not Americans, even electronic votes from overseas from those who Obama has been giving our tax dollars to.Maybe they need to go back to the paper votes, they need to do what it takes to make sure each person is going by the law.Not their own man made up law!

you know there are a lot of people who think this is all about religion now,to start with it was all about race.Which was a lie, because a large percentage of voters were white that voted for Obama. Now you numskulls need to see the light about a few things that are going on.Obama has put the country in deeper debt and in more danger,he has given tax dollars to muslims over seas,he has setup muslim businesses in almost every state which supports the muslim brotherhood. That is a fact. He has come against our freedom our rights and even brought division against the people. This is not about republicans or democrats or religions,It is about a man or woman that can run this country right! and lead this country right! and help all the people not just a certain crowd,it does not work this way in America! Obama himself has already did enough to be walked out of the White house for good! and nothing he does or try's to pass that places every American in harms way should ever be passed,There are some issues that should be stopped right in the tracks. We have to have someone who can lead.I realize democrats want a democratic president. But am sorry,Obama is not the one we need, many, many democrats have refused to vote for Obama because they know he has not kept his word, about anything, and he has not did good for this country. That is what we all have to go by the facts. Not believe a lie and just go along with the crowd. It is not about dividing this country,It is about making this country stronger and better. And that is not by putting certain people down and uplifting others,That is not how you better this nation people! Obama has encouraged the wrong spirit with Americans. Not a spirit of unity and anything good.

Economy improves despite Obama's anti-business policies. Thanks to Republican Congress and lots of Republican governors.
