MSNBC Boots Pat Buchanan

Conservative blames axing on 'thought police'

(Newser) – Pat Buchanan is leaving MSNBC after a decade, an apparent victim of the network's swing toward the liberal and a backlash against his Suicide of a Superpower book, in which he warns of "the end of white America." Buchanan had been suspended from the network for four months, and MSNBC President Phil Griffin recently said he didn't think Buchanan's views on race and immigration in his book should be part of the national dialogue, much less "part of the dialogue on MSNBC."

Buchanan issued a statement saying he was leaving "after an incessant clamor from the left that to permit me continued access to the microphones of MSNBC would be an outrage against decency, and dangerous." He slammed the "thought police" of the Anti-Defamation League. "I know these blacklisters. They operate behind closed doors, with phone calls, mailed threats, and off-the-record meetings. They work in the dark because, as Al Smith said, nothing un-American can live in the sunlight." Next stop, Fox? wonders the Daily Beast.

After 10 years, we’ve parted ways with Pat Buchanan. We wish him well, an MSNBC spokesman said.

"the network's swing toward the liberal"  it's hard to imagine they could swing more liberal but with Idiot Al yelling at the camera and canning Buchanan , I can see it. and what is it with Blacks on TV anyway? Like Al and Waters, can they not ever talk in a civil tone? sheesh

Phil Griffin and company at NBC are dedicated to the re-election of Obama. Its hosts are, with one exception (Dylan Ratigan), left-wing wackos. They fire the smart Buchanan, and hire the fake, illiterate Rev. Al to go along with Ed, Lawrence, Madcow, and Martin--who bombard us endlessly with praise for BS and negative comments for every GOP candidate. I'm betting than in 10 or 20 years, Buchanan's comments and predictions will be on target. It's a regrettable and disgusting that NBC execs fire such an intelligent and articulate commentator to feed us liberal pap throughout the day.

Pat is a most interesting blend of solid, clear thinking and shrieking hysteria.  He has some very clear views and as you rummage around in the deeper parts of his psyche, you start to find a xenophobic radical.
