(Newser) – They'd been tipped off by the DEA, but Los Angeles cops weren't expecting the drug bust to be this big: Police seized $100 million worth of PCP in various locations, reports the Los Angeles Times. That translates to 130 gallons, an amount "I can't even get my head around," said one expert. Police also picked up nearly $400,000 in cash and enough chemicals to make another 500 gallons. Two suspects were arrested at a local UPS store, their apparent shipping method of choice to destinations around the country.

Congratulations to the LA police for this bust.   Your's truly also had an accidental dose of PCP in spiked weed that nearly ruined his life...started with 2 weeks in the hospital.  It mimics psychosis and the doctors treated it with Thorazine.  No one knew the weed was spiked until years later and every sort of psycological label, treatment, and stigma had done nearly irreversible damage.  Only later was it revealed that Thorazine and PCP can have fatal contraindications.   Look it up in New England Journal of Medicine.   God forbid this poison is making a comeback.  Doctors take note, put your patient through detox before drugging him if you're not sure what was ingested.
