(Newser) – The Colbert Report will resume taping tomorrow after the show suddenly shut down this week and aired repeats Wednesday and Thursday, the New York Times reports. Stephen Colbert hasn't addressed rumors that he stopped taping to take care of his 91-year-old mom, Lorna. But he did tweet on Friday that "my family and I would like to thank everyone who has offered their thoughts and prayers. We are grateful and touched by your concern.”

Does anyone have or know the numbers on how many people watch The Daily Show or the Colbert Report?  I have a friend who insists the numbers are low and I can't find any information to verify or dispute him.  That's odd because you can find numbers for most any show online.
