(Newser) – Following the departure of rebel fighters from the Baba Amr neighborhood, Syrian troops and pro-government militias have taken to the streets, rampantly grabbing, torturing, and killing men and boys, fleeing people tell the BBC. One woman said 35 males had been rounded up near her home, and two soldiers slit the throat of her 12-year-old son. "They will slaughter them like sheep," said another resident. With supplies dwindling, many civilians are afraid to leave the area.

An army defector says troops were given the order to "shoot anything that moves. Civilian or military—you shot at it." Meanwhile:

  • The government continues to refuse the Red Cross access to Baba Amr, though it has been allowed into other areas of Homs, the Guardian reports.
  • But UN representatives are now due to visit the country. The organization's humanitarian chief, Valerie Amos, will be there from Wednesday to Friday, and former secretary-general Kofi Annan plans to travel to Damascus on Saturday.
  • More than 1,000 refugees have entered Lebanon, and the country is expecting more.
  • Slain journalist Marie Colvin's remains will be sent to New York tomorrow.

Modern History is defined by the Solar Mortality Theory. It predicts that every 3 generations, when the 4th arrives, we have Global Socio-Economic Upheavals leading to Genocide. Google Solar Mortality Theory to read about the Origins of Genocide which predicted this- Current events were triggered ~2007.5 Driving force is with 4 generations alive only ONE is working to support other 3, newborn, aged & retirees It is unsustainable, leading to genocidal wars to offset the prior 3 generations of high birth rates Modern HIstory started with solar reversal of 1796- since then every 3 generations we've seen GENOCIDE occuring on a global basis. Solution is to stop having so many kids- that won't happen The Decades are the 1860s, the 1930s and NOW. So get over it- or stop fucking

I would like to believe all the propaganda reported by the US and NATO allied supported bias news, but I would like for them to show me just one loyal live Syrian soldier prisoner, that the rebels did not kill. -- I know the Syrian rebels take no prisoners, so I believe the same will be done to them. -- This is not a war, this is an open rebellion, so therefor the rules of war are not in-force. -- The bias news media, reports only bias news supporting the US and NATO, and allies views. --- USING LOGIC --- If you pursue a change in government with guns, expect the same from those you attack with guns, and the consequences of your actions. --- And when the rebels hide behind innocents, and are killed, I remember the killing of Afghan innocents, and US troops saying they were human shields, for the Taliban. ---- REALLY
