Not-So-Sporty Spice Sprains Ankle at Show

Posted Dec 14, 07 3:54 PM CST in Arts & Living

(Newser) – Emma Bunton sprained her ankle when she took a spill during the Las Vegas leg of the Spice Girls' world tour, and the group has bowed out of a TV performance scheduled to air Sunday. "I'm seeing David Beckham's doctor, so I'm praying I'll be fine," Baby Spice told the BBC.

A Spice Girls spokesperson said Bunton's sprained ankle, suffered Tuesday, won't be a hindrance at upcoming live shows, only the televised concert. Though a definite makeup date has yet to be fixed, the group reportedly will perform for the final episode of "Strictly Come Dancing" on Dec. 22.
