McCain Blasts Game Change

'I'm not going to watch it,' says Arizona senator

(Newser) – Maybe John McCain also wanted Brad Pitt to play him, but he's certainly no fan of Game Change, deriding the movie based on his 2008 presidential campaign to Fox News Sunday as "based on a book that's completely biased and with unattributed quotes. I'm not going to watch it." Politico notes that a main beef appears to be his potty-mouthed portrayal, by actor Ed Harris: "I don’t use coarse language very often. I have a larger vocabulary than that," he says.

McCain also makes an unexpected defense of Sarah Palin, given reported tensions between the two, which were underscored in the movie: "I don't understand, even in the tough world of politics, why there continues to be such an assault on a good and decent person. I admired and respect her. ... I thought she was the most qualified person."

Great movie. Nobody mentioned Steve Schmidt's role played by Woody Harrelson....he was like the 'real' central figure (and most screen time).  Having seen the McCain-Palin drame play out live in real time, this movie captured most of it PLUS many internal happenings which we did not know of.

The movie was far too kind to McCain.

"  deriding the movie"  "i'm not going to watch the movie" WELL WHAT THE FUCK, big surprise there, a republican is going to bash something without having seen it or read a book! biased much? at least pretend like you watched it, or part of it and turned it off, something!!!
