(Newser) Killing 77 innocent people apparently wasn't enough for Anders Behring Breivik. The Norwegian far-right extremist also planned to car bomb President Obama's Nobel Peace Prize ceremony back in 2009, the Telegraph reports. Breivik admitted to police that it would have been a symbolic attack—security was too tight to reach the president—but the explosion would have sent his anti-Islamic message to millions around the world. For now, his goals seem less lofty: just show up for trial starting April 16. (See more Breivik news here.)

This lowlife deserves to pink prison garb through his entire sentence, and that should be around 20 years for every person he murdered.

"Breivik admitted to police that it would have been a symbolic attack—security was too tight to reach the president—but the explosion would have sent his anti-Islamic message to millions around the world." the explosion also would have warned Norwegian authorities that they had a wingnut in their midst and might have gotten him caught on that purely symbolic attack rather than the attack that killed 77 people.
