(Newser) – The Boston Globe takes stock of the GOP race today with this front-page headline: "Santorum moves fuel predictions he will exit." Team Santorum is taking a few days off for the Easter weekend and is saying all the right things about getting back on the trail in force come Monday. But, among other things, one party analyst finds it odd that Santorum has yet to make a major ad buy in his home state of Pennsylvania ahead of the April 24 primary.

Santorum is trailing Mitt Romney in the polls there, and a home-field loss for the former senator, who got trounced in his last re-election bid, would hurt. “He has a very risky situation," says Newt Gingrich's Pennsylvania campaign chief. "It’s realistic he could lose Pennsylvania; and if he does, he’s damaged far beyond 2012." Yesterday, Santorum's ailing young daughter, Bella, had to return to the hospital.
