ESPN's beloved college basketball analyst (or loathed—opinions vary), Dick Vitale, will take the sidelines until February; doctors have located lesions on his left vocal cord which required surgery today. The former Pistons and University of Detroit coach won't be able to comment using his voice until then on what he calls "already a dynamite hoops season."
