Suspect in Porn Star's Murder Nailed in Mexico

Posted Dec 19, 07 3:13 PM CST in Crime & Courts US

(Newser) – The suspected killer of community-college student and internet porn star Emily Sander, 18, was arrested today in Mexico, the Wichita Eagle reports. Israel Mireles, 24, is being held in Melchor Muzquiz until he is extradited, the AP reports. Sander turned up dead along a Kansas road after reportedly leaving an El Dorado bar with Mireles on Nov. 24.

Mireles was born in Mexico and has relatives there, the AP reports. He became a prime suspect when police found blood in his motel room, which was missing a bedspread later found with Sander’s body. Mireles reportedly fled to Mexico with his 16-year-old pregnant girlfriend; authorities gave no information on her other than that she was alive.
