Ron Paul Ends Campaign (Sort Of)

Paul done looking for votes, but will keep grabbing delegates

(Newser) – Ron Paul's campaign is over—at least if you define campaign as an attempt to get people to vote for you. Paul's camp announced today that it would "no longer spend resources campaigning in primaries in states that have not yet voted. Doing so without any hope of success would take many tens of millions of dollars we simply do not have."

But Paul's campaign says it's going to continue to try to win delegates, in an attempt to "carry a strong message to the Republican National Convention." Presumably, this means Paul intends to continue his strategy of cherry-picking delegates from states that have already voted by gaming the delegate selection process. Politico also notes that Paul has already spent money on ads in one state that hasn't voted yet: his native Texas.

this election would be over if either Mitt or Obama took up the legalization of drugs issue and ending our empire building issues that ron paul supports... yet neither will because both have sold out to the corporate masters

I really hope Ron Paul runs as a third party in the fall election. But since the others have dropped out, Paul  may not need to keep campaigning. He may actually get a  number of votes where he's on the ballot without it.
