Win Over Jets Gives Titans Playoff Chance

Posted Dec 23, 07 8:31 PM CST in Sports

(Newser) – The Titans and the Jets each gave up two turnovers in this afternoon's game, which Tennessee won 10-6 to keep their postseason hopes afloat. Kyle Vanden Bosch accounted for three of the Titan's six sacks of Chad Pennington, while New York countered with three sacks of Vince Young, AP reports.

Young threw for just 166 yards on 12-for-22 passing, leaving much of Tennessee's forward movement in the hands of LenDale White and his 103 rushing yards. With Cleveland's loss to Cincinnati, the Titans have a shot at the AFC wild-card slot--but it's the Colts who will stand between Tennessee and that critical 10th win next week.
