Another alleged victim, known as Victim 6, testified today during Jerry Sandusky's trial, saying that he went out of his way to introduce himself to Sandusky at a picnic for his Second Mile charity. "I was really excited to meet him," the 25-year-old said. But the man testified that things soon got "uncomfortable" when, on their way to a tour of the training center in 1998, Sandusky put his hand near the knee of Victim 6, then 11. When they arrived, they "wrestled a little bit on the carpet," and though he felt uncomfortable, Victim 6 said, "It was Jerry Sandusky, so I didn't want to make him mad."
Later, Sandusky insisted on showering with him, tickled him, and at one point grabbed him from behind, the man testified. Even so, he did not realize anything wrong had happened and participated in other activities with Sandusky, even once sending him a Father's Day card; he acknowledged that after his mother went to authorities following his encounter with the coach, he "did not want [Sandusky] to get in trouble" and did not come to view the encounter as "inappropriate" until adulthood. Also today, the man known as Victim 3 recalled sleepovers with Sandusky from 1998 to 2001 during which the coach allegedly touched his penis "pretty frequent[ly]," the Patriot-News reports.
