Paula Deen: Don't Associate Me With Butter
In this Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2012 photo, celebrity chef Paula Deen poses for a portrait in New York. Deen recently announced that she has Type 2 diabetes.   (AP Photo/Carlo Allegri)

Paula Deen is apparently very optimistic, because despite the fact that she's best known for creating recipes like fried butter balls, she said last night on Celebrities at Home that's not what she wants to be associated with. "When you hear the name Paula Deen, I don't want you to think of the word 'butter,'" she said, before going on to add even more optimistically, "But I want you to think of the word 'hope.'" All we have to say is: Good luck with that, Paula. Huffington Post has the video. (More Paula Deen stories.)
