(Newser) – A stage under construction for a Radiohead concert in Toronto collapsed today, killing one person and injuring at least three, the Globe & Mail reports. Workers were hanging screens on the stage when it fell, according to a beer tent worker: "Apparently the band was supposed to practice just before [the collapse]," she said. Cries of "First aid!" emerged from the stage, and security began removing a considerable crowd that had gathered early for the concert, the Toronto Star reports. The sold-out show has been canceled.

Has anyone stopped to think it may not have been the construction workers fault but the materials that they were using? This is the second recent stage collapse. There has to be a connection and it is usually equipment failure. Road crews that travel with these groups are very professional and careful. So there is something definitely going wrong.

i don't see why anyone would pay money to see this shitty band play live in the first place. but hey, lets look on the bright side. at least now radiohead has new inspiration to write more crappy, depressing music.
