(Newser) – What moments are engraved most profoundly into the minds of television viewers in the past 50 years? Sony Electronics and Nielsen surveyed more than 1,000 adults and found that the 9/11 attacks are the easy No. 1, though OJ Simpson has the distinction of cracking the top 10 twice. The top vote-getters, from AP and the New York Post.

Go to the NY Post site with the actual story.  #11. Death of Whitney Houston.  Well this list just lost all credibility.  The title is also very misleading.  Memorable TV moments?  TV NEWS moments.  If it were TV moments Hawkeye leaving the 4077 and seeing goodbye written in stones would be at least #4.

How about one of the deadliest events in the past 50 years, the Indonesian tsunami????  Get with it.

Two hundred years from now the events in this list will be of interest only to die-hard historians.... July 20, 1969 will be remembered as a crowning human achievement..... It was, by far, the most significant event in my lifetime......
