Suspected 'Dark Knight' killer kept on suicide watch

(Newser) – Suspected Dark Knight killer James Holmes was acting erratically when put behind bars and placed on suicide watch yesterday, the New York Daily News reports. “He was spitting at the door and spitting at the guards,” said a fellow Colorado inmate. “He's spitting at everything. Dude was acting crazy.” A jail employee said Holmes "hasn't show any remorse. He thinks he's acting in a movie."

Suicide watch seems like a good place, considering how badly other inmates want a piece of him. “All the inmates were talking about killing him,” said a just-released inmate. “Everyone was looking for an opportunity. It’s all they could talk about.” Holmes was brought in cuffed and leg-shackled by six officers and given grits and sausage before being placed in a cell with blacked-out windows. "Inmates talk of killing him". Good. Prison justice is probably the only justice those victims will get - and a lot less than they deserve. Some fancy high-priced attorney looking to make a name for himself will probably take over the case from his court-appointed free attorneys, stack the defense with dangerously enabling mental health "experts" who'll taint the jury with talk of how "Sick" he is and how "it's not his fault" and "he was powerless to stop himself" and he'll get to spend a decade or so in a mental-health ward (which will neither cure, nor rehabilitate him, since they rarely do), and where he'll get tons of fan mail from the annihilator-lovers, eventually be allowed to marry and be educated, then be loosed upon society to start the rampages anew. Meanwhile, the survivors will be left with a lifetime of physical and emotional pain from the havoc he's wrought.

No one has said the reason why he did it was he mad at the Federal govt. or was it something else and will we ever know.
